About Nedan
Make every boundary visible.
Nedan Network Notes is an independent technical publication. It documents questions, methods and the reasoning behind an engineering choice.
Mission
Nedan examines the path between a client and a service: name resolution, transport setup, TLS identity, proxy routing, HTTP caching and timed observations. Notes separate the condition that was observed from the cause still being investigated.
Useful notes explain the environment they assume, the mechanism being examined and the limits of the conclusion. A reader should be able to follow the reasoning without depending on undocumented context.
How work is documented
Articles distinguish an explanation, a proposed procedure and a measured result. Initial guides and project plans do not claim that a prototype is running or that a production service has met a performance target.
A measured note should include relevant versions, starting conditions, commands, observations and cleanup. Revisions belong in the article’s update date and the local activity log.
Publication boundaries
This site has its own articles, project studies, RSS feed and editorial scope. Its content works independently of other publications. External community cards are attributed links, fetched on the server and kept separate from original work.
